Q. I have Suzuki LT80 oil injected and I purchased belray s2 oil. Is this oil ok to use and what is the difference compared to 2t oil.

The Bel-Ray S2 2-Stroke Oil has been discontinued and replaced by the Bel-Ray 2T Mineral Engine Oil.  Either of these mineral oil based products will work in the injector system of your Suzuki LT80. The premier Bel-Ray product we would recommend for the injector system is the Bel-Ray Si-7 Full Synthetic 2T engine Oil.

Q. I recently purchased a 2008 KTM 250 XCW from a private party. He said he used MC-1 since new. I have used H1-R for the last three years and really like it. As long as I dump the fuel in the tank and carb, can I switch the bike to the H1-R or must I continue to use the MC-1 until I disassemble the motor at a later date? Thanks in advance.

You can switch to Bel-Ray H1R Racing 100% Synthetic Ester 2T Engine Oil mixed at 40:1 from Bel-Ray MC-1 Racing Full Synthetic 2T Engine Oil mixed at 50:1 without any problems.  Run the engine out of gas / oil mixture and add the H1R mixed at 40:1.  We recommend using H1R in your KTM 250 as it is formulated for 2 cycle engines equipped with power valve systems.  The H1R will help keep the power valve system clean so the engine can produce maximum power.

Q. Ice Racing very modified 05 KTM 450 SXF 4-stroke and a 02 Yamaha YZ-250-F 4-stroke. Want to use your EXS Synthetic Superbike 0w40 Motor Oil (found in stock locally) to allow for easier very cold starts. Both these bikes have a wet clutch. Is this the right 0W-XX formulation from Bel-Ray to be compatible with shared wet clutch & tranny crankcases???

The Bel-Ray EXS Full Synthetic 0W-40 is formulated for wet clutch performance.  After you use up the EXS 0W-40 that is in stock (this product has been discontinued) You can use the Bel-ray EXS Full Synthetic Ester 4T Engine Oil 5W-40 which will also provide excellent cold start protection and wet clutch performance.

Q. am a faithful Bel Ray user. I just bought a Yamaha Warrior 1700cc(102ci) air cooled, push rod motor, like that of a Harley. What gear oil would you suggest for the transfer case(location sw FL)? I currently have Bel Ray gear saver hypoid gear oil 85w-140, I just don't know if that would be too thick. The manual calls for sae80 hypoid gl-4.

The transfer case of your Yamaha Warrior calls for GL-4 SAE 80 gear oil.  We recommend you use Bel-Ray Gear Saver Hypoid Gear Oil 80W-90 in your transfer case down in Fla. where the temperatures get quite warm.  The Bel-Ray Gear Saver Hypoid Gear Oil 85W-140 is a little too heavy for this application.
